SWOHS exists to promote the knowledge and interest of hostas, encourage new and improved varieites of hosta, promote the usefulness of hostas in the landscape and to identify issues related to hostas and educate our members and the public about such issues. Our mission is to promote the growth and development of Hostas by education and camaraderie. We promote knowledge and interest in hostas by encouraging member participation in hosta-related events and by providing updates and interesting articles in our newsletters and website. If you love hostas and you live, work or play in the southwestern part of the Province of Ontario, Canada, we would love to have you as a member of our society

We host several events each year in Southwestern Ontario including meetings, a bus tour and a summer picnic. SWOHS Members are also eligible to participate in all Ontario Hosta Society events too!
